This is my first post, so let me explain what this place is.
I'm Josh Jones. I write about three things and whatever else is on my mind: technology, finance, and storms.
The technology side covers what I work in day-to-day. AI, automation, cybersecurity, networking, cloud architecture, OSINT. Sometimes broad essays, sometimes specific notes on a tool I'm using or a system I just deployed.
The finance side is two parts. The first is personal finance: budgeting, investing, money strategy. The second is markets: trading strategies, technical analysis, scripts I've written for TradingView and ThinkOrSwim. None of it is advice. The disclaimer page covers that explicitly.
The storms part is the part most people don't expect. I chase severe weather. Tornadoes, supercells, the long-haul drive into the plains when the models line up right. I'll post chase reports, radar walkthroughs, and the occasional model interpretation when something interesting is brewing.
Beyond the three pillars, there's the rest: personal essays, things I'm building, occasional memoir from earlier life chapters, opinions I haven't fully formed yet but want to think through in writing.
That's the territory. Some posts will be long. Some will be short. Some will be one screenshot and a paragraph. The cadence is going to be whatever feels right.
If you've read this far, the next move is up to you. The Free tier gets you new posts in your inbox when I publish. The Supporter tier costs $5/month or $50/year and exists if you want to help keep this going. Same content either way.
Reply to any email if you want to reach me directly. I read everything.
More soon.
